Hi Thompson, the main thing you need to look for is a food that meets AAFCO standards for either the kitten life stage or all life stages. I don’t advise home-prepared meals for kittens as their nutrient requirements are different than for adults and their feeding amounts (and thus nutrient proportions) must be constantly reassessed weekly. Smalls might be the closest thing to what you’re looking for. Their foods do meet the AAFCO standards for all life stages.
