Hello! I’ve recently had fear put into me in regards to taurine and phosphorus content in cat food. I’ve done a lot of research, but still feel unsure. I’m currently feeding my cats what I believe is the healthiest for what I can afford, but I’ll switch and pay more if I have to because I want the best for them. So I was hoping I could drop the analysis here for someone to look over and let me know if I need to switch one of both of them (I feed them wet food for one meal, dry for the other) for taurine, phosphorus, or any other reason. My cats are 7 and 4, so neither kittens nor seniors. I’d REALLY appreciate any help. Thank you!

Hi Courtney, I’d be happy to try to help. We need more information than just the percentages listed alone because we have to get nutritional requirements into g/kcal ME to compare to what the nutritional requirements and precautions are. If you can give me the specific brands and formulations, or provide links, I can look up the other details if they’re available. The type of phosphorus used to supplement the diet is also important, which would be in the ingredients list. So again, if I could get the specific diet names or links to them, I could help you more.
