  • Anyone found the healthiest wet cat food for picky indoor cats?

I’ve been trying to switch my indoor cat to the healthiest wet cat food, but she refuses most brands after a few bites. Has anyone found something nutritious that picky cats actually enjoy eating daily?

Hi Thompson, I would recommend “Fancy Feast”

    for it’s cheap and reliable.

My cats (one dictates the diet the other follows) are on wet food only diet and after a lot of hit & miss, found Pro Plan to be the favorite in varieties of salmon….So I would find a local pet store with a lot of variety and start with 1 brand that has a lot of variety and start 1 at a time, recording what they like and don’t like. Somehow I landed in Salmon which helps (he doesn’t like any land-based meat so I early ruled out everything not seafood). I then found out that he must have variety so no repeat cans in a day. So I then had to try other brands as Proplan has only 5-acceptable types. Trying salmon only we found the Petco Senior brand and a couple of FussieCat (premium of course) to round out to 10-acceptable types that I stock up and choose from. A couple of other points: I can only use 3 oz cans (they reject ‘old’) and no cheap brands that have lots of carbs, fillers and hidden sugar for taste.

My picky indoor cat finally started eating high-protein wet food when I introduced it gradually and tried a few different textures like pate and shredded recipes. Finding the right texture made a bigger difference than I expected!
